How to do your own paper flags

1. Once you know wish flag is the one you want to use, print it and trace it full page. (I use tracing paper).
After pencil tracing the flag use a fine tip black pen and go over the traced lines and darken it where you think should be darker.
2. After you hace achived a nice black and white image, reduce you image to the size you need acccording the the scale of your model. You will have to use the original tracing paper art to create a reverse copy.
3. Paste up both images side to side and draw a sharp oval in the center that will represent the points where the flag gets attached to the mast. Create another copy with both flags and the ovals, this copy is the one you will fill with colors, but before you add any paint you should coat the copy with satin clear, this will make the paint flow better.
4. After the paint, coat again with satin clear. When is dry, cut the ovals, add white glue to the back and fold. This is the time to take advantage and create the folds you like to the flag wile is still wet. Sometimes I use dowels to create the ripples.
5. After fold and dried, create some samll holes to pass your rope through it. I do to rounds around the mast.
You will be proud that your model flags.....Is your creation.!!
