Hi Andy, to be honest i have not thought about that side of things yet, I ordered a set of four sail's for her today, but at the moment i like the picture of on Sarik model web site showing her with three sails and i think that is the way i will go. Still along way to go.

Hi Andy,
With regard to fitting two winches, I donโt know if you have seen the solution used on my Gaff Rigged Cutter. This has sheets from either side of the jibs connected to one of the winches. https://model-boats.com/blogs/86653#91897 Graham93 ๐ Like

Looks like you are making very good progress and everything is coming together. All I've really done so far with the Katie hull I bought, is to buy a 1/12th scale figure off eBay - to help get the proportions right, when I get there.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372817287285 I was wondering how you were going to fit the winches - at the moment I was trying to think how to use two winches - one for the mail/gaff and the other for the two jibs, so they can be sheeted correctly on each side. I may consider adding a boom to the "inside/rear" jib, as it looks there is space but then not true to the original. Am impressed you have included a motor - this is something I had not considered. Thanks for keeping us informed. I've finished the Moonbeam now so there is no excuse to starting Katie. ๐ Like

Hi Rick, While i have been unwell i managed to get my Booster jab today just to add to the symptoms but i have been looking at plans and working out were to put the electrics in the boat in a safe place but not block off access to the motor etc. I have also been working out how many parts and accessing rigging parts that i need, I think i am on top of that job now so hopefully i can get on with the build next week.๐ค Thanks for your comment.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well Jon. The good thing about our builds is time is not an issue. What ever gets done is a step closer to our goal.

Hi Graham I have read your Blog on building Emma and what a build it is but to be honest it has pushed me out of my comfort zone some what, Your metal work is outstanding but as i do not have the machinery to make parts like the ones you have i will have to make the best i can and hopefully my boat will turn out alright in the end. Thanks for a very interesting read.

Hi,
I made a gooseneck in brass like the one in your plan. The details are in my blog here: https://model-boats.com/blogs/86653#92935 So far, it is working fine. I also made a gaff saddle in brass which you can also see in a later blog post. Graham93 ๐ Like

Yes Rick I thought about this and there is one were the mast goes through the deck and also because the rudder goes from the bottom of the Hull to the very top of the stern so I will have to make access for the servo so I should be OK but I will keep that in mind thanks.

You may have looked at this and have a plan. With the deck members in place will you have room to get at the motor and coupling. Will you be doing access covers.
