Added wood for deck to attach to
Sanding it all level then trial deal and attach. I will use epoxy but it’s 51 inches long. I’ll have to tape it down. Once done I’ll use bondo if I need any small filler on sides. I was thinking of contact cement but too risky. Befire I glue deck I’ll get motor n Servo installed. Also rudder attached. I added small bb weights to sonar dome. I suspect I may need more once I water test. Figure another week before attach deck. It will be superstructure next. I have list of doors n parts I can get from scaleshipyard.com I’m thinking of the MACK section being wood carved n dowels. I also need to make the signalmen room n ECM room which is attached to front of MACK and add the mast n three platforms. These have ECM domes n top has sps10 radar. It’s slow but getting done. I still need to final rails on the Creole Queen riverboat It’s all set with electronics n motor. A steam unit arrives Wednesday for it. Need to pipe it n glue stacks in place. Boys are on way home they enjoyed Europe n went to Abby road n BBC today. Grandson walked Abby road but looked wrong way fir traffic not car approaching n guy on sidewalk thinking he is nuts. The bands last nite this was the final tour for the band ( maybe?) they loved it.

Sorry for messy table but the river boat occupied most space so I worked in another room. Sanded the wood n laid deck on it. It fits nicely so I dropped the foam mock up on the deck. Next is add motor n rudder, to water test to see balance. Then attach deck. I’ll add some more bracing under deck too. I will cut out access hole once deck is secured with dermal tool n then smooth it n frame it. Then I’ll start superstructure from aft starting with hanger, then removable section. The whole main structure will be fixed so I’ll build support with balsa and cover with plastic sheet parts. It’s all in my head but I have 1:1 plans to copy from. So far so good.

I made the rear flight deck removable. 4 screws will hold it in place. Started main section with .08 sheet left from deck. Used wood inside to support it. At least the sides are up and cat walk to captains area on. The deck above bridge n radar gun tracker plat form next. Then MACK n mast. ECM n signalman shelter next. Lots still to do n clean up. Midsection will be removable so I’ll cut access there for motor n electronics. Hanger will be stationary. I may have hanger door open n lighted. Still months of work to go. I did get a tiny smoke generator so that will go in down the line too.

Last nites work

Doing Bondo putty. Opened up the access mid ships and added a water splash. Built removable section. Needs detailed parts and stairs. Added side stairs. That is all now clean up n watch a movie. It is shaping well I’ll add the Servo and motor platform inside the hull. I’ll give it a primer just to see more flaws fir Bondo I need to get parts fir bridge windows n upper bridge. Found the cruise book as it had good detailed pics. G nite all from Boston usa

Added hanger door. Have the removable section done. Started MACK out of wood. Will cover it in thin plastic sheet. I did that with the gun radar base. Used cardboard tube n covered it with thin plastic sheet. Used 3m contact spray cement Ladder will place over joint. I added ships bell by hanger and some piping near there. Just doing more bits. I still haven’t trimmed the landing deck. Lots to do in weeks ahead. Work is starting to occupy more time as new product is launched for medical industry.

Working on MACK it holds the rad ones fir ECM, some antennas, stack exhaust n deflectors and the two radars surface Dutch SPS 10 and ASE Sps antennas. Some more sanding n filler but bad icky the superstructure framework is there. I’ll add three antennas above bridge an some bits like flag bags. I’m missing the signalman room n ECM equipment room. I need to find n make the three radomes. Waiting on answers from scale shipyard then I already see other vendors in this scale. It looks like the ship.

Added some bits to the Mack and superstructure. Added antennas. Awaiting doors n other bits to move ahead with the ship. I’ll primer coat the deck up soon. I added the signal men room and ECM equipment room in front of the Mack

Added some more bits n flag bag. Looking at mast I remembered when nicked climbing up to the top of it to repair. There were aluminum railing posts that seemed like they would break if I leaned on them. I had safety belt on. Had to set up a J rig to get a dome off. Scary place but great views. Added DASH remote control heli control station too. U can see the vertical supports behind the sailor who is standing next to antenna poles.

Did a quick primer coat. It looks like a ship. I just built a sprinkler pipe and the vertical pipe for a high line just behind the rear gun. Doing what I can untill I get more parts in. Flag bags are three layers off .08 styrene and shaped. I’m trying to get the halyards to the horizontal mast. I’ll do the two long antennas off the radio shack. I need to find right material for the MK gun durectir mount. I have the ring done
