can any one tell me is three rudders preferable with three props I have currently one and if i do it as three how do i change it to three loads of room at the rear

Depends on what the original ship has/had and if you are following that design in scale. It seems most smaller boat/ships with three props have a rudder after each prop. Some use the Lurssen Effect where the props are offset.
Larger ships with 2, 3, or 4 props might have only one rudder. I try to follow the real boats in this aspect. Lew Florida, USA 🇺🇸 ▲

I have a number of boats with 2 motors and a number with 3 and always use the same number of rudders. Your boat wil navigate more aqurate definetely when you do competitions. The scheme for the rudders is quite simple if they are all in line. Then just one straight tube to connect all three. ▲
