Hi all,
Thanks for your tips, but as I mentioned I first have to find the โrightโ scale. As actuary of the MSC Orion, I have written to all members of the club and asked them to tell me the dimensions of their boats. The first step has been taken and your ideas will be incorporated. Anyone else with ideas? ๐๐๐๐ Thanks in advance! ๐๐ Creative greetings, Michel-C. ▲

One of the best 'harbours' I have seen, which was on a non-permanent pond, so was easily removable and adjustable was made from white plastic plumbing pipe, filled with foam pipe insulation for buoyancy, each end plugged and with hooks and eyes. Various lengths were used, and the pipes were connected to each other in any number of variations. Some pipes had hooks and eyes along their length. Using 2 " pipes, they provided a safe and soft harbour, for those whose boat control against a solid fitting might damage their pride and joy. For the experienced they could also be made complex, providing a real test to enter the inner part of the harbour. The 'pipes' were either anchored to the sandy shore, or sometimes had stakes into the pond floor.

Something you have to consider Mike is if you have to cater for different types and scales of boats as the requirements and designs could be very different.
Having a jetty is great though and something I've thought about - having all my Faireys moored up would be wonderful! Chris ▲

Hello, I have a little film here that I saw at an event in Flensburg. Maybe as a little inspiration.
