    Hello everyone!
Who has ever dreamed of a model jetty? We are doing it !
On behalf of our MSC Orion we are looking for ideas from model boat clubs or interest groups who have already built something similar.
Who can help us with valuable tips?
You can find a lot of plans on the Internet, but not a lot of experience.
We would be grateful for any help.
As I have been the club's actuary for a month now, I would like to thank you on behalf of the MSC Orion and hope for some cool ideas.
    Your Michel-C.
Ps : A jetty like the one in the picture would be more suitable for old frigates and co

Good morning all you great helpers,
Dear jbkiwi, Herman, and all those who give me tips.
You are awesome, I have forwarded your pictures, jbkiwi, to my contributor.
The situation at our pond is slightly different, as we have walls at knee height on our harbour site.
As it's municipal land, we're not allowed to put up any hooks or fixtures. . .
We are building on a different basis but the pictures and tips help us enormously!
Thank you very much you creative friends!
I am so happy to receive such help here!

    Your Michel-C.

Ps: In addition to your address, Herman, I have others that I will also write to. One of them is the ship captains of St Peter in the Black Forest.

    Michel a good morning
It has been some time we have "spoken". Good to see that you are alive and kicking.
Regarding the harbour you would like to create i would suggest have a look at the website of one of our belgian clubs. They have digged the pond and have created a complete harbour. You can contact them with my regards
    the club is called :
    M.O.T.H. MODELBOUW TEAM HULSHOUT
let me know if you have been able to contact them
I m shure they will be very helpfull
in the meantime i wish you and your family a merry xmas and a fantastic, healthy, full of joy 2025
    regards
    Herman

    Hi Michel-C

some pics from the last model show I attended earlier this year. A nice small marina had been taken from the local clubs usual pond, and adapted to fit the school swimming pool. Looked really effective. Might give you some ideas.

    Grรผezi Zรคme! (Good day together)
In addition to the paddle steamer, I also laser test parts for the construction of the harbour jetty. Here is a small harbour house . . .
The jetty material is slowly coming together, 50mm PVC pipes and an aluminium plate with side edges at the top as the basic element. Tests will follow soon . .
    Let us surprise you.

    Hi all,
Thanks for your tips, but as I mentioned I first have to find the โ€˜rightโ€™ scale.
As actuary of the MSC Orion, I have written to all members of the club and asked them to tell me the dimensions of their boats.

The first step has been taken and your ideas will be incorporated.
    Anyone else with ideas? ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„
    Thanks in advance! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

    Creative greetings,
    Michel-C.

One of the best 'harbours' I have seen, which was on a non-permanent pond, so was easily removable and adjustable was made from white plastic plumbing pipe, filled with foam pipe insulation for buoyancy, each end plugged and with hooks and eyes. Various lengths were used, and the pipes were connected to each other in any number of variations. Some pipes had hooks and eyes along their length. Using 2 " pipes, they provided a safe and soft harbour, for those whose boat control against a solid fitting might damage their pride and joy. For the experienced they could also be made complex, providing a real test to enter the inner part of the harbour. The 'pipes' were either anchored to the sandy shore, or sometimes had stakes into the pond floor.

Something you have to consider Mike is if you have to cater for different types and scales of boats as the requirements and designs could be very different.

Having a jetty is great though and something I've thought about - having all my Faireys moored up would be wonderful!

Hello, I have a little film here that I saw at an event in Flensburg. Maybe as a little inspiration.
