With the transom skinned the side skin templates were made (like the side skin templates) from thin card.
These were then cut and fitted.

Looking in to the skinned hull was a nice experience and gave me the chance to armour the motor mounting blocks in the hull.

With the lower hull skinned, the decks can be fitted.

The base to fit each cabin was cut to give a good close accurate fit.
Once I was happy with gathering shape I made formers to form the cabin top sins over.
I also cross-braced them at this stage to prevent any possible warping when covering them.

The cabin tops were then skinned and then “fitted” to make sure they were a good close “bodgers” fit that would need no filler.

The new Aft Cabin was added and the roof baseplate made in my usual “bodgers” style of fitting it as I made it.

The new rear cabin addition was skinned and checked to ensure it was a really good tight fit.

At this stage the strakes were made from square section hardwood that had been split using the jig I pictured on here earlier to give the triangular size and shape I wanted to fit.
The strakes were fitted to the pre-drawn Biro pen lines I had drawn on earlier.
Once dry, all the brass nails were removed.
