At this stage the new rear cabin roof looked a bit bare, so I decided to plank it and add the rear hatch.

At this stage the cockpit floor looked a bit “bland”, so I planked that as well!
The two planked areas were then clear varnished to help protect them from this bodger spoiling them with ant future work!

Work on this Swordsman stopped at this stage as I acquired a part built Aerokits Swordsman that needed some attention to try to catch its build progress up with this “scratch built” version that is based on the same Aerokits model.
The kit Swordsman will be finished as per plan (more or less!) and I may even leave the pathetically thin strakes than came in the kit on it…..but hopefully I will make the effort to cut some more of the same size that I made and fitted to my own build shown here as they will work much better in the 12” to the foot scale water that I will be driving her on.
