A fellow in the model boat club started this build but did not finish.I was given the model to finish up. She's a scratch-built 34-inch x 11-inch beam with a prop shaft of about 11 inches.I needed to modify the cradle, as the stuffing box that sat on the cradle took about 3 inches off the stand. The rubber was also a little too long and I thought that I should cut it down a little. I think the model is based on an open-cockpit Catalina, an older Sterling-style model not sure I have no info on the make.

I Googled an image of a Huntsman model and noticed the wrap around wind screen and I like that look, but it will be a real chore to make It and now I'm thinking of how & what material to use Brass , wood , round plastic, etc. I hope I'm not getting in trouble posting a Google image I just hope there isn't a copy right on that image thats not my model.

Decided to make a windscreen and used some 3/32 brass rod and 1/8 brass tubing to make a window frame. It ain't perfect, but I'm happy; it still needs some adjustments. And plastic windows before installation. That's another problem to solve

Change the build blog name. Continued with the wind screen on my Huntsman model; added the plastic windshield. Glued the plastic to the brass frames and had to buy a plastic box at the dollar-or-more store, plus some fancy glue from the Skycraft hobby store. Ain't great, but I think it will work will need to be attached to the deck after the side windows are installed.

On Thursday, I tried out my Huntsman R/C model worked great until the speed control stopped working. On Friday had to take a speed control out of one of my Harbor boats. Placed the switch under the Port side seat and used a magnet to hold the seat over the switch. Ran great Saturday at Spencer's pool.P/S the geese are acting like humans; they are now just walking across Lakeshore road now like all the dumb people, so the cars have to stop for them.I don't think that goose like me taking it's photo.
