    I got a new deckhand.
I put him to work right away!

As you can see by the picture.
He's moving a line up to the starboard side
    bow bollard!

    Getting ready pulling into port!

Can any one tell whats wrong.
    With what he's doing?

Like your Brooklyn, you did a nice job on her! Trying to figure out what’s wrong in the pic, is it something nautical that shouldn’t be happening, or is it something in particular to this model. My background is aviation and automotive, and I flew a lot of rc planes and semi fast electric boats, but I’m new to the scale rc boating world. Ask me what a bollard is I’m liable to say β€œ a duckβ€πŸ€£
Anyway, the Brooklyn is a handsome boat, looks good.

    Hi Cash,

Thanks for the compliment on the model!

It's like this when your pulling into port.
You are going to tie up on the left side!
    He's on the right side!
Call it a joke! Only a Nautical joke!β›΅πŸš€

Oh, the Bollard is what you tie off to!

    I never flew model airplanes.
    But, It sound like fun!

    Cheers, Ed

    πŸ“ Lost Cleats!
    5 days ago by figtree7nts ( Commodore)
    Flag
I had ordered some 5/8" cleat to use with the extra fenders.
I intend on putting on Brooklyn.
Problem is I tracked them and their last location was Puerto Rico.
Don't ask I don't know why they are there!

    So, I called Dumas Models.
Even they were baffled But, they said give till this coming Thursday.
If it don't arrive call them back. And they will resend my order!
On the house! Now that's what you call good business...… 😊

Funny! I had a similar experience recently.
Ordered a book from the Anatomy of a Ship series, HMS Campbeltown, from an online store in UK.
Book was sent from New York (!?) and on it's travels it passed through Budapest!!!
Took weeks to arrive. When I queried why it hadn't arrived as promised the store automatically refunded my money, although I hadn't asked them to.
10 days later the book turned up after wandering around Europe for 6 weeks.
It had processing labels from all over the place on it.
The store said "Never mind, keep the book. The marketing site doesn't have a mechanism for reversing refunds"! So it took a while but ended up free😊
Have faith Ed, somehow sometime you'll get 'em🀞
    Cheers, Doug 😎

See Brooklyn is now running on 12 volts.
She will run for about 1.5 hours.
    On one charge!
    So, with a second Battery.
she'll run an extra 1.5 hour.
For a total of 3.0 hours! πŸ‘

    πŸ“ Extra Fenders!

    Today I ordered extra fenders!
I'm going to add four forward and two aft!
For a total of 7 Port 7 Starboard!

I might also be changing Brooklyn's Bow fender.
See I'll have three of the 160mm fenders.
    That tie at either end!

I'm thinking of taking all three.
    And tying them together.
And putting them at her Bow!

    πŸ“ 12 Volt Conversion Completed!
    19 days ago by figtree7nts ( Commodore)
    Flag
    I reinstalled Brooklyn's 12 volt motor.
Along with her 12 volt smoker!

Brooklyn's back to smoking the way she should!

Not sure why the 12 volt smoker.
Smokes more than the 6 volt smoker does!
    But it does!
    Now this smoker, I got.
    smokes a beautiful brown smoke!
Not a white smoke as smokers usually do!
The brown smoke I like, I like it alot!

The brown smoke, reminds me of live Steam!πŸ‘
