Lost Cleats!

I had ordered some 5/8" cleat to use with the extra fenders.
I intend on putting on Brooklyn.
Problem is I tracked them and their last location was Puerto Rico.
Don't ask I don't know why they are there!

So, I called Dumas Models.
Even they were baffled But, they said give till this coming Thursday.
If it don't arrive call them back. And they will resend my order!
On the house! Now that's what you call good business...… 😊

Funny! I had a similar experience recently.
Ordered a book from the Anatomy of a Ship series, HMS Campbeltown, from an online store in UK.
Book was sent from New York (!?) and on it's travels it passed through Budapest!!!
Took weeks to arrive. When I queried why it hadn't arrived as promised the store automatically refunded my money, although I hadn't asked them to.
10 days later the book turned up after wandering around Europe for 6 weeks.
It had processing labels from all over the place on it.
The store said "Never mind, keep the book. The marketing site doesn't have a mechanism for reversing refunds"! So it took a while but ended up free😊
Have faith Ed, somehow sometime you'll get 'em🤞
    Cheers, Doug 😎

    Hi Cash,

Thanks for the compliment on the model!

It's like this when your pulling into port.
You are going to tie up on the left side!
    He's on the right side!
Call it a joke! Only a Nautical joke!⛵🚤

Oh, the Bollard is what you tie off to!

    I never flew model airplanes.
    But, It sound like fun!

    Fun but nerve-racking Ed,
Much more so than when driving model boats.
Funny, when I think about it, I was more nervous at the controls of a model plane than I ever was in a real one!
    Cheers, Doug 😎

Replacement Cleats by Dumas!

I received the replacement cleats from Dumas!
Dumas sent 16 cleats. I had only ordered 10!
So, they kept their word.
Now that’s a good Company!

FYI, I had ordered 10 cleats from Dumas.
At the beginning of the months!
They ended up going to the wrong location!

I called Dumas told them what was going on.
They looked most likely a wrong zip code was used!
They said no problem, They would send replaacements.
Which they did. And I recieved the replacements.
three days later!

Aft running light!

It’s been really hot here!
Haven’t had time to go to the pond!
But, have kept myself busy on the Computer!
Have done quite a few upgrades to my Computer!
I have upgraded it’s software and hardware wise!
I did however take time out.
To put an aft running light on Brooklyn!
I know, I know eventually I’ll get to the pond! 🙂

Main Cabin Lights!

OK, this is an after thought!
I have decided to add cabin lights.

The main running lights are good looking.
But, the model looks a bit dark.

So, With Dougs help "RNinMunich"!
I will be adding some 3mm LED's.
They'll be about every 5" apart!

Except for the Aft lights.
Which will be about 2.5" apart!

This should add some nice lighting to her!

Lets see what happens!!!🤞

    Go for it Ed👍
If she's too heavy get yourself a little winch / block & tackle you can clamp to the window sill.
Then you can winch Brooklyn down to Jenny😊
Then all you need is a trolley like I just bought, see pic 😉 to get her to the lake. 👍
    (The tug silly, not Jenny😂)

New Running Lights Switches!

Hi All,

It's been a while since I've been on the Boat Website!

I have nothing to do!

But, my Brooklyn Tugboat had light switch issues!

See, I had used push button switches.

which I was told would eventually fail!

And as I was told they did fail!

So, I purchased some new SPTD switches!

These switches had to be very small in size!

Lucky, for me I found the right switches!

But, I had to place the switches away from the original switches!

As the new switches are smaller the the previous switches

I originally wanted to make the Running Lights Radio Controlled!

But, couldn't figure out how to!

I should have worked out the running lights.

Before putting the sides of the main cabin!

Live and learn!

But, I'm happy I was able to fix her Running Lights!

Hi Doug, RNinMunich!

Thanks for the Heads up on the Push button Switches!

They Failed just as you said so!

Cheers, Ed

Hi Martin, Martin555!

Well, I did it Brooklyn's Lights are in Operation again!

Cheers, Ed

I must say it was fun working on my boat!

Now, to put her batteries to charge!.........

Cheers, Ed-

    Ed,
I forgot to mention, I like the way you have hidden the switches under the lifeboat and buckets.
