Thanks for your help chaps.
Rooky...wish I had used a aerosol in the first place, you live and learn.
Colin... nice to hear from you again, hope your well and life is good for you. I think I might go down the root you suggested, I thought floor paint might have been to thick, I can get it from our local surplus store.

HI Colin.

I need some of this paint for myself, I notice you mention the supplier as B&M
who are B&M and where are they located.

Regards.

grey paint

HI Martin,
I use commercial floor paint which is a good match for most military deck paints, and its a semI matte finish which is a non slip surface, extremely hard waring and totally waterproof, also leaves no brush marks.
I bought a 500ml can from B&M but have also seen it in a couple of discount shops. Usually about £1.99 a tin.
Hope this is helpful, Colin.
Fair winds and calm waters,
COLIN.

grey paint

gooner....have two fireboats 46 and 34inch, was advised years ago by someone who had worked on the fireboat 94 and suggested I use the colour 'POLAR GREY' for all top surfaces, I use it by a spray from Halfords but you may get it in a can for brushing.

grey paint

fellow modeler's
Can anyone tell me where I can get the deck grey paint for my raf fireboat, I have used a oil based primer, but cant find a suitable 750ml or 1ltr brushable paint. The small tins of humbrel would not be cost efective.
Thanks for any helpfull replies
