Hi Scamp. I am currently finishing a boat with three fully working monitors. The first thing we need to know is whether it is rotating and or lifting or static. The wiring for each type is different as servos control the movements but if static, only a pump needs switching electrically. The switching can be done is a few ways also. How many volts will the water pump be. Peter.

I cannot promise to finish one project before starting another. I know, I tried.

Good evening Scamp, I have a couple of boats that have operational fire monitors. My Westeriffe has a rise and fall operated by servo and also rotation by servo, as I didn't want to soak my boat the pump is operational by a cam on the rotator which switches on a microswitch when the nozzle aim is away from the boat. And my aerokits 34" fireboat has fixed monitors and the pump is switched on by a microswitch operated by a servo arm. Cheers Colin.
I thought I would reply to a gentleman about fire monitors that use it's own battery . I'm old school and use a switch on my transmitter to move a servo that contacts a mini micro switch that then powers pump .

Help required. I wish to have working fire hydrants powered by a separate 12volt battery. I have 2 spare channels on my transmitter so these can be used to operate the monitors.can any one give me any information on how to wire these up?

Can any one help? I wish to operate a working fire hydrant using it's own battery, not using the boat main battery. I have 2 spare channels on my transmitter. I look forward to any ideas.
