    Hi Mike
Rosegarth is possibly more suitable. We have an Applegarth a sister tug in our club and I attach a pic. The garth tugs were a common site on the Mersey before the container port took over. Apart from being a single prop the size and weight are similar to the Lady T. Applegarth pic attached for comparison
Looking forward to seeing your build, whatever you finally choose.
    Regards
    Dave

    Hi Dave
Thank you for your reply, and some lovely pictures of an extremely nice looking build.
My reason for picking this model was the attractiveness of it, twin props and the plant to fit I thought πŸ€” and finally the overall weight. It has been suggested I make the Lady Wooes however, with the dimensions quoted its somewhat larger therefore heavier !!!! something I'm trying to control. I might have to bite the bullet and go for a single prop (Rosegarth) weight achieved. Previous builds have always been open launches and I thought a tug would make a nice change.
    Best Regards
    Mike

    She looks great Dave,
If I do a Steamy she is one of the contenders
On my Mt Washington, I used elastic thread to facilitate the disconnects.

    Hi Mike
I have a Lady T and it makes into a nice scale model. On my model the whole top cabin area lifts off including the two lifeboat stanchions on either side. There is lots of rigging that attaches to the deck and this makes it quite a long and fiddley process to remove and replace. Sorry I don't know the weight off hand but it is a light weight model compared to say the Lady Jan.
I think you may find the internal space tight for your proposed twin steam plant but access when steaming at the lakeside may be your main obstacle. This could be solved by removing much of the scale detail to make removal of the top much easier and more suitable for a steam set up. I hope you do proceed as I would love to see a steamed version of Lady T. I attach some pics of my model.

    Hi All
Can anyone tell me the expected all up weight of this tug please, I'm hoping to build it with a pair of Cheddar Pintail motors and 3-1/2" boiler.🀞
    Cheers
    Mike
