So many moons ago I built a Dumas racing runabout not a million miles from what you have there I ran that on a 7.2 nicad and a tamiya torque tuned motor with kit prop I felt it was to slow and never really got on plane

Hey guys, has anyone built this kit #1230? Looking for direction on motor/speed control. 2s or 3s motors are like 50,000 rpm. Seems like to much to me. I would like to be able to get on plane and keep it to a fast scale speed. Not ridiculously fast. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Starting the hull this weekend and will start a blog on my build. Thanks to all, Dave
