A quiet day on the lake.

Very nice boat, and your grandson did a great job skippering it.
That looks like a great venue for model boats!
So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

A quiet day on the lake.

Nerys, if it had been planned in advance I would post it. But they came to visit this morning and offered to take the family out for the day as I was feeling a lot better. So we took a chance on Llandrindod and it was lovely had 3 hours sailing, followed by a trip up the Elan valley to see the dams and reservoirs ( muddy puddles), and showed the children the ruins of the flooded village .
Got home absolutely shattered but happy with our day out.
They want to visit an open day at a narrow guage railway factory next Saturday at Lea between Ross on wye, and Gloucester.
Probably let my son do the driving if we go, as my knee is playing up.
Cheers Colin.

Missed you again Colin, we were there on Sunday around lunchtime.

Cheers, Nerys
When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

A quiet day on the lake.

Took my grandchildren out for a quiet day in the park. So decided Llandrindod would be ideal for grandson's Witte Zee model.
Only us and the wildlife, great day out.
Cheers Colin
