Does the servo work on channel 3.
Take the control horn off and check the shaft rotation.
Would also suggest investing in a servo tester, makes settling up easier and checks servo before you install it.

Hi Brian
I agree with Colin.
Just to make sure the Tx/Rx are both working on channel 1 & 2, I would connect the working ESC to both channel 1 and channel 2 and make sure it can be controlled on each channel. You do not need a separate Rx battery as power is supplied by the ESC.
As Colin says the problem is with the rudder servo. Hopefully following Colin's instructions will sort your problem.
cheers

Good evening Brian, I have a few models using the same radio and electrics as you and don't usually have any problems.
But when you set up and test your system if your throttle channel is ok then the esc is providing the correct voltage to the reciever.
Any problems with the rudder servo could be you didn't have it centered when you fitted the control arm.
Disconect the servo arm and test again, hopefully this will show up any problems.
Remember always turn on the transmitter and centre the sticks, before the model the servo will usually kick and settle on centre when you switch the models power on.
Try this and let us know how you get on.
Cheers Colin.
Fair winds and calm waters,
COLIN.

Hmmm, you didn't happen to have a radio running with you, or speakers with Bluetooth? Did you pull the transmitter antenna all the way out? Do you have the matching quartzes?

Hello Brian
Is channel 1 + 2 on your transmitter the same stick? Do you have pictures of the transmitter and receiver?

tug servo control

hi I am new to model boats and am updating my HenLong Seaport workboat. I have fitted a Viper marine 15 amp esc controller and a servo for the rudder. I am using a Futaba Attak -R PFP-R103f 3 channel receiver(40mhz). the motor runs ok on stick 2 but the servo seems to get power
and locks up with no response from the chan nel 1 stick. if I unplug the servo lead the motor still runs ok.i am using 9 volt rechargeable power pack but no separate receiver battery ....any advise would be welcome, many thanks Brian M
