Stuffing box grease?

I use plumbers grease,
That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

Stuffing box grease?

Thank you Rod and Commodore H! I believe what I have on hand is Tamiya Molybdenum Grease. But, will go with the white lithium!

Stuffing box grease?

If you get a tube of white lithium grease that is all you need to do your drive shafts, Rudder shafts and door latches of your car

Stuffing box grease?

Hello Gang!
I am curious about which grease is best for the driveshaft in a stuffing box, as well as, a rudder sleeve. I ordered both my stuffing box and rudder from an outfit in China and whatever they are using is black in color, quite heavy, and it seems like a decent product for water usage. But due to all my trial fitting I may have lessened the amount of lubricant in the stuffing box and rudder sleeve. All I have left laying about the shop is an old tube of general purpose Tamiya RC (clear) gear-grease. Suggestions are always greatly appreciated.
Best to all!

PS: This is for light cruising my Lumba-Lumba and not for racing about.
