1/48 scale WW2 RN figures

Hi Nick,

Have you discovered these? Quite remarkable quality. This one is 1:24 (photo attached), is destined for my next build, but they do the whole range at 1:48 and many other sizes).

They also provide STL files, but I've not investigated these.

Check out www.modelu3d.co.uk

Cheers,

Bryan

1/48 scale WW2 RN figures

Hi Nick:
Try Luis at his Facebook page Holden8702. He works is just about every scale imaginable and his work is great. He just knocked out a Merchant Marine crew in 1:24 scale for me and is doing a USCG set in 1:16th scale. Here is his Royal Navy crews in 1:48 scale...https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace?type=product&q=1%3A48+Royal+Navy+crew

Nick.
Try Shapeways,or Adrian’s Marine Figures.
I obtained my RN crew from Shapeways and they are fine.

Nick, I think 1/48 is O gauge in the train world or also known a 1/4 inch to the foot scale Len

Hey Nick, try searching for Tamiya 1/48 scale crew, they have several sets you may be able to modify. German tank crew and several others. Good luck 👍👍👍

1/48 scale WW2 RN figures

Hi! I trust we have all recovered from the recent festivities. Now that my MMS is nearing completion I am looking to recruit a ships company. I have searched high and low for suitable 1/48 scale figures but have drawn a complete blank. There are loads in every other scale but none in 1/48. I have a few but they are all stood upright staring straight ahead, and I need a few in various poses, at the moment it looks like the ship is crewed by the Children of The Corn! I need a few that are poseable, ie in kit form, in working poses or sitting. I have contemplated cutting a few up and trying to reassemble in a different pose but I doubt if I could make a decent job of it. Any suggestions as to suppliers would be a great help. I do have a resin type 3D 'printer' but so far a search for stl files has not produced any results. The photos are of the "zombie" crew that I have up to now..
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....
