Varnish

Hi Spence, I've always been happy with Humbrol enamel.
Shopkeepers no longer sell them here in Rome (they sell all over Italy) because the EU has banned them. Apparently they contained harmful substances.
I still have to find a valid alternative but it may be that they are not prohibited there.

Varnish

Hi Spence I have been using a clear yacht varnish for several years now and it is very good. Believe it or not it is from the Poundshop, Mine was a pound a tin but they have lately upped their prices.
The epoxy they sell is also very good and is now £1.50 per pack.

What varnish for Humbrol Paints guys? I am using this and another oil based paint. I am confused as to what to use because I have read you can't use some varnishes over certain types of paint. Polyurethane, acrylic, water based - well muddled! Also which brands for non-yellowing please? Interested to know ones you have had experience of. Thanks for any replies as always. Spence.
