Hi Lew thatโ€™s not a bad idea and I can use the extra weight of the bigger motors to offset the amount of ballast that will be needed, Iโ€™d say thatโ€™s a win win๐Ÿ˜Š

Depending on the type or radio control you are using, you might be able to slow down the motors by setting the servo limits lower on the transmitter. I do this on several of my models.

At least one of them has the forward speed set to 30% and reverse speed set to 20%. (Using a Flysky I6X.) You can change the speed anytime you want.

    Hi All

Iโ€™m building a Fairmount Alpine and have purchased two MFA 800 motors for it but am starting think this may be over kill for the size of model. I thought about gearing them to slow them down but the gearing systems are unavailable. My other thought was to acquire two geared 540 motors.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Michael
