Upgraded all my sailboats with new servos

I was finding the servos in my sailboats were not very reliable when a stiffer breeze caught their sails, I couldn’t haul them in.

Since building the Emma and installing the Hitec HS765HB with the control arm, it had not issues with trimming the sails in a stiff breeze.

I have been adding the HS765HB in my other sailing vessels. Just finished the Wianno Senior, and my schooner The Show.

Hi Ronald,
Your report is very interesting.
I'm just wondering how you built this in. Please send me a few photos, thank you.

I completely changed the Wianno Senior arrangement. Originally there was a small mini-mighty operating the rudder in a small area in the stern. It has since been removed and an Hitec HS-322HB installed in the forward cabin. The control rod now runs above deck before passing through the cabin bulkhead and attaching to the servo control horn.

The sail sheets were also altered. Originally the main sheet passed through a tube which went out the cabin bulkhead.

I liked the method Gary Webb uses on several of his models and followed it to pass the sheet forward coming up through the deck beside the mast.

The sheet passes through a couple eyes before being secured to a deck cleat.
