I agree with you, Chugalone! You're a true artist! Multifaceted, to boot.
I admire you.
Imagination and creativity are excellent resources for model making.
I enjoyed drawing, using Indian ink with 0.2 nibs, but I'm not good at painting.

As for the Juanita, I'll wait for the water tests.
I asked because it's a problem that has plagued many modelers and isn't the easiest to solve, but I think something can be done.

Alessandro:
My other passion—besides restoring cars and building model ships—is oil painting, specifically abstract figurative work. This style combines recognizable, real-world subjects with non-realistic, distorted, or fragmented forms.
I also love to fly single engine planes and skydive.
These are some of my paintings.

Alessandro:
For now, that question will have to stay up in the air, since this is my first time building this type of vessel. I’m not an expert in R/C electronics or controls, and that’s the main reason I’m here on this forum. I’ll be able to fully answer your question once my Juanita takes her first sea trials.
I’m mostly a builder and a painter. For example, I restored a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle Type I entirely by myself in my backyard—an ordeal that took me 18 years to complete. The first time I entered it into a competition, it won “Best of Show.” Every single part of that Beetle was rebuilt by me, even all of the interior.
Here it is.

Hi Chugalone, I understand that working with the railings isn't easy, but the result was excellent. Beautiful to look at.

I asked if it was an RC model because I wanted to ask a question that would have been pointless if the model were just static.
Do you have any ideas for solving the maneuverability problem that characterizes this type of boat (with a flat bottom and paddle wheel that aren't ideal for turning)?

Alessandro,
This model will be fully R/C and equipped with plenty of working lights. It hasn’t been an easy build—especially the railings, which took me quite a long time to complete. I’ve also added several of my own modifications, such as the pilothouse navigation lights and the catwalk that runs from the main structure to the push knees.

Hi Chuck.
I’m almost finished with the painting of the model and parts but run into a dilema.
My model brought 6 inverted vent pipes with caps but according to your designs, it’s supposed to be just 1 (one) ventilator w/cap and 2 (two) without cap on port and the same goes for the starboard.
My kit is missing the 4 (four) inverted ventilators without cap.
I also found this picture of another Juanita and has what my kit is missing.
Correct me if I am wrong, please.
