Being into 1/16 scale RC armor, construction, and vehicles as well as RC scale model boats I found that the Bruder (Germany) "1/16 scale" (more like 1/17 scale) makes some interesting figures. I base my Springer tugs on being 1/16 scale which is very close to the dimensions for a "truckable push-boat". I would like to make another barge for my RC crane (modified) and need more of these Bruder figures. However, the price for these runs from about $15 (US) to a lot more. Has anyone seen these at lower price, especially when wanting to buy a few.

The Bruder 60020 looks to be about the best. The safety reflective vest could be converted to a life (water) vest and the shoes and also be converted to boots if needed. Toss the tools though.

F.Y.I. These figures are basically toy figures with movable joints which is great for making different poses. I probably mentioned this before, by setting the poses, one can fuse the joints and do some filling and cutting then painting to make variants of the same figure.

I added some photos to show you the use of these figures on different models. The crane is a Hunia and the truck (to be converted to RC) is a Big Farm. The truck should be able to handle the crane, tanks, and Springers. The last one is my Abrams M1 tank commander standing with two Bruder "crew members" on one of my Springer builds.

PM or post if you see a decent supplier in North America.

    Thanks,
