Now that's a good question Alessandro. No one actually knows what Dark Energy is, it is all speculation. I do know it is something to do with energy contained in a vacuum. In my simple mind in order to expand, you need something to expand into. Like Dark Matter no one actually knows what it is. I have been looking into Doesn't Matter. There is a lot of it around. Most of these conjectures around the science of the cosmos can be covered by Doesn't Matter, because it Doesn't Matter.😊

Hint: it has to do with the continuing inversion process of micro gas particles.
