Speedline models RNLI 1/16 Shannon.

Hi Ian
Congratulations on your lovely build! 😎 she looks great on the water! 👍 thank you for the pic and your advice, its very much appreciated😊 that's perfect just what I was looking for! I think there's Allan key/grub screws on the trim tabs so I'll have a good look..maybe I'll be able to nip those up tight with your advive with 5 ° down and hope it holds!..or glue them! 😂

Hi luke it will perform ok but will have bow up position if your going to leave them static i would build in a 5 degree down to help at full speed i did this on my mersey class and it helps

Hi Ian
Thank you for the reply, great news thank you 👍once I get to that stage I'll bear that in mind..I wondering if the boat would still function fine if the trim tabs were left static with no servo control.. Not sure if that's an option?

Speedline models RNLI 1/16 Shannon.

Hello all,
I'm looking at building the speedline 1/16 scale shannon..hopefully soon🤞

Has anyone built one and had the same question?

I Just wanted to ask if the servo controlled working trim tabs are essential for stability, high speed turns etc..

Or can they just be left static..im thinking of just having servos for forward/astern bucket control and steering..and if possible both jets operating the same instead of independently..keep things simple! If that is at all possible..my electronic knowledge isn't that great unfortunately 😕

Any help would be very much appreciated and thank you kindly
Warmest regards Luke👍
