Hi Thank you for the reply and that's very kind of you regarding the nav lights..thank you again!
Im thinking red port, green starboard and 2 white..1 for mast headlight and another for the sternlight, maybe an interior red light for the wheelhouse, a flashing blue light if its possible without flasher units etc?
as I have no clue on how they work or how to wire them to the reciever?!
Im hoping to keep it simple and wire all the lights and radar together and run it off a 12v battery box with a switch located somewhere in the wheelhouse as not to interfere with lifting the wheelhouse off to reach the rc equipment in the hull..again not sure if that's possible yet? But if you have any ideas on wiring etc that would be a great help!
The radar is perfect im thinking! so thank you again..I'll trawl the Internet when ready for that section of the build!
Thank-you again and kindest regards Luke ๐

Hi all, I'm hope everyone is well!
Ive just ordered a MS 1/16 RNLI Tamar lifeboat and was hoping to reach out and ask if anyone has some build pictures or their boat project they dont mind posting on the site ๐
I have a few ideas on what r/c gear i want to install along with a working bow thruster ๐
Im after some Inspiration on working radar, maybe 1 interior wheelhouse light along with navigation and mast lights๐
The finer details around the wheelhouse and deck i think ive pretty much thought it out๐คbut any ideas or some pictures of your builds would be very much appreciated if you dont mind ๐ค
Many thanks for your help and time and Warmest regards
Luke

Hi Ian
Congratulations on your lovely build! ๐ she looks great on the water! ๐ thank you for the pic and your advice, its very much appreciated๐ that's perfect just what I was looking for! I think there's Allan key/grub screws on the trim tabs so I'll have a good look..maybe I'll be able to nip those up tight with your advive with 5 ยฐ down and hope it holds!..or glue them! ๐

Hi Ian
Thank you for the reply, great news thank you ๐once I get to that stage I'll bear that in mind..I wondering if the boat would still function fine if the trim tabs were left static with no servo control.. Not sure if that's an option?

Hi Doug,
Many thanks for the reply ๐unfortunately I don't have any video's of her underway..I hoping to sell her to fund a RNLI shannon build..she does sit nicely in the water..the trawl net works well in the water with otter board spread ๐ and she looks great with the lights on..would like to sail in the dark..see what it looks like all lit up! ๐ค

Hello all,
I'm looking at building the speedline 1/16 scale shannon..hopefully soon๐ค
Has anyone built one and had the same question?
I Just wanted to ask if the servo controlled working trim tabs are essential for stability, high speed turns etc..
Or can they just be left static..im thinking of just having servos for forward/astern bucket control and steering..and if possible both jets operating the same instead of independently..keep things simple! If that is at all possible..my electronic knowledge isn't that great unfortunately ๐
Any help would be very much appreciated and thank you kindly
Warmest regards Luke๐
