HI acw1947
Not sure where you were looking mate
There were heron from here bay in Kent
Moore hen from Essex happy hobbies from Middlesex. The war ship squadron from Worthing area The Swiss cottage model boat club from Shoreham not London. Shoreham is 4 miles west alone the coast and Worthing is about 12 so that pretty much local. There was also the South East life boat society which has a detachment from Shoreham life boat station. All in all on that mean floor there were 6 clubs then on the Middle floor ther was the Swiss cottage model boat club showing about 25 boats and had a boat simulator running for kids and card construction boats and sweets to give away. There was also boats on a stand on the lower floor that had about 10 boats on display. I went to see Mastman and yes he can make anything you need or can get it. I spent three days there and got all I needed there paints, sprays, wire, sound unit, lighting, filler, tools, plastic card, glue, and a lot more. Did not get any batteries that I wanted but got most other things.
So I think poor is the wrong word to use and there was about ten or so modal boat clubs there and the Swiss cottage model boat club is not in London its in Shoreham which is as I said only about 4 miles west. One of our members even ride his push bike over on the Sunday as it was quicker than by car. 😭

I went yesterday, there was only one trade stand pertaining to model boats this was "mastman" and very helpful they are. (If he hasn't got it, he can get it.) Also there were no local model boat clubs there ,poor show I thought, there was one from Harlow in Essex, and Swiss Cottage north London. A bit far from Brighton to go sailing. if you go on the Modelworld web site there are photo's of the exhibits.

Not a bad three days event not as many traders this year and not sure why
Some very good model boats on display.
Some of the best boat I see there had to be the life boats. Some are fantastic and so detailed. Makes me want one now so that will please the wife
