Transmitter brake down

Thanks for the post I had not seen this option before. The twin throttle we use only replaces the gimbal so it is just plug and play. Attached is a copy of an article I wrote for Task Force 72 about 10 years ago, hope it explains the conversion better. But to summarise you remove and dissemble the original gimbal, use the pots and reassemble using the printed parts as well as a small compression spring and "T" brass wire parts. My original twin stick radio is still going strong.

Hope it helps

I've also found this guide for twin throttles but cutting into the back of the radio like that kind of irks me. Not sure if the aforementioned version does that too.

I just mix it into my steering, unfortunately that takes up all 3 available mixes on the i6x. There is a way to convert it to opentx which I might try eventually.

Bob,
Zebra was developed in South Africa in the 1960s and based on Controlair.
This is a 10 channel reed set giving you 5 servos.
The only reason that this set is not used is that it requires a unique battery setup based on DEACs that are no longer available.
This is a picture of the receiver and two servos.

Happy to provide the STL files but the assembly can be a bit tricky with a spring and a small brass T made from 0.8mm brass. However, if I do this the STLs are not to be sold or used for profit. An alternative is to send me your address and I can send you an assembled Gimbal ready to replace the existing throttle (plug and play0. The conditions are that you send me back the old Gimbal you take out and cover postage and the cost of materials. I will have to calculate the cost of materials etc. Let me know what you would like to do.

Hi Bobby
Would it be possible to get the files for the twin stick for the Flysky/Turnigy transmitter.
These are the same unit but under difference names.

Not seen one of those before EdW - not even heard of a Zebra-210- radio previously.

Garth, thanks for the tip on the switch it looks good. The only modification we do on this radio is to convert the throttle to twin sticks so you have individual throttles for twin screwed boats. See attached photo. You can share the document/manual with other modellers but acknowledge that it is from the Newcastle Marine Modellers Association (Australia) and not reproduce it for profit. I am happy the document was helpful a number of our members swear by it as they find the manual a little hard to follow.

Thank you very much solves a lot of mistakes I've been making. May I share this write-up with some of my fellow inmates? No copyright infringement? etc. Can I just show what I did with my FLYSKY because I had a hard time turning on the swich glued a piece of plastic on the switch to raise it up a little bit.

Our Association uses the Flysky and we have developed our own version of a basic handbook. I have included a PDF and work version hopefully you will be able open one. I hope this may be of some assistance.

Cheers

I bet you all are getting tired of me, but. I have a history of most of the transmitters from the past that I should put in the garbage, but I'm a hoarder. In the beginning first one COX/SANWA a elegal 72.160 then I moved up to the two-channel, which could only be used on one model boat. As time went by, they reproduced like rabbits Every boat needed a transmitter Every boat had to have a number assigned to it. So here is most of the unused transmitter because then Hobby King 2.4GH and everyone needed a special transmitter, but Hobby King stopped selling them, then came FlySky, which became #1 with about 16 models so far are on FlySky now and I'm still trying to figure it out.
