Legacy of the Lakes Boat Museum Opening Day - Model Boat Gallery
3 weeks ago, I posted a teaser of the Toy & Model Boat Gallery at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum.
Yesterday was the season opener, and 3 of us from the Edina Model Yacht Club drove up for the opening day.
There are four EMYC members that have boats/motors on display in the "Beyond the Bathtub" Gallery. One of our members also created a circular "tub" with a vintage working model boat.
The museum also has a Gallery this year celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Century Boats, and we have 3 Model Century Boats in that Gallery.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
