Hi, could you specify the type of ESC being used..? Other thoughts would be has the ESC been set up and working well before, or is this first testing..? Also, are you sure the shafts are running free..?
Best regards

Brushed twin and esc stalling?

I've got my twin motors ,540s and a 30 amp esc for twin motors installed into a hull and when testing in the bath they seem to stall. When first initialising the esc beeps an light flash, which I think is normal but when opening the throttle the motors speed up then stop dead, the esc starts flashing and a long tune starts playing then stops and the motors start to respond again. The battery is a 7.2 v nmh 4000amh. Just tickling the throttle it works quite happily but very slowly.

Could it be the esc underrated or the diodes or caps I fitted across the motor terminals giving trouble and causing a short circuit ?

Any suggestions on how to cure this problem will be most welcome

Thanks
