I think I have a bind plug, with the Rx., but no instructions!

When it goes solid? How do you mean? The led stops flashing, do you mean?

Have you got the bind plug??? if so, plug into the receiver switch on the receiver then the transmitter, follow the bind instructions, some have the bind on a small led on the receiver, when it goes solid its done

I have a Spektrum Dx5e and an Orange Rx. I have never done binding before. How do you do it?

I was hoping to be able to have 2 transmitters permanently bound into my most used models. But can't seem to do that even with Spektrum receivers. But once I have same settings programmed into each transmitter for those models, it should just be a case of a rebind.

My post where it says 90"A" it should have shown symbol for "degrees", looks like forum doesn't show symbols%u263A

Been testing the Storm S603 receiver with my Spektrum ds6I & ds6 transmitters. it does work with both transmitters.
It does have a slightly different layout of the connections in as much that the bind connections are at 90A to the main ones and are independent of the servo & battery connections. There are no instructions with it. Follow the transmitter instructions. Importantly as I frustratingly found out. Once bound together, remove The bind plug immediately or if you switch off model or transmitter, then on again, all binding is lost. And the process needs repeating. Another tip, if a bind fails kill all power to receiver to reset.
Hope this helps anyone. it's my first time trying these and I have 2 more on order. Time will tell.

I've put it straight to my DX6 but don't see why not, other makes, ie hobby king DSMX do. Could be a day or so before I test that out, but I will.

The ones for that set are DSM2. Hobby king were cheap. But bare in mind that the latest Spektrum is now the DX6. This as I found out the hard way is DSMX, these work with both transmitters, where as the DSM2 only with the set you have. Of course the latest versions are more expensive, but probably worth it in the long run as theoretically you'd be future proofing.
As I said on another post I bought 1 from bangandgood. Chinese site, cheap but decent reviews. Just ordered 2 more DSMX's to replace my old DSM2's. Will post the name of them shortly. Downside is they won't come next day unless you pay more for a supplier from the country you live in.

Have a look at the FrSky taranis. 16 channels and free mixers the ability to fit different modules so you can use some if not all of your existing receivers.

You do need a computer to set everything up but if your posting here you probably have one.

The radio is strange at first since nothing is fixed you can chose what function is on what channel. Have a look on youtube for some reviews.

Don't expect quick delivery. My last item, a compatable receiver for Spektrum took 6 weeks. Can be 2 months sometimes. OK I know someone's going say there's took a week%u263A

I use spektrum dx6I and the new dx6. The 6I stores up to 10 sets of settings for individual models. The new 6 up to 250 models ( bit over the top) I know. Only thing with them is you need a quiet corner, patience, and the ability to understand written instructions, and convert aircraft terminology in boat language. But once you've done that they're great.

HI Denzil, I changed from Radio Link to Futaba T6, great gear but limited to Futaba receivers, go to the fasst system and you can get Orange receivers dead cheap, all depends on your pocket, Futaba do have a superb service center in the UK, (Ripmax) very helpful with any problems

Hope this helps

A few in our club swear by the 'Spektrum DX6', I use a 'FlySky FS T6', it seems solid enough & it has quite a range of settings to play with, plus you don't need a computer link to set it up.
Only annoying feature is, it bleeps at you after 2 minutes if you don't waggle a stick.

Bonus point is, cheap recievers from a firm called 'Gearbest', you can buy online.
