what a great harbour and the traction engine proves your engineering ability. However one question, where do you 48 hours in a day mine only have 24!!!

My Cervia was ready built. I have replaced the Electric motor with a large servo motor (Brushed) .Direct drive and being heavy helps with ballasting. lead acid gel cells are power source.
Motor rated voltage24 v but run it on 12v . low rev high torque
no load current 1 amp. Shaft diameter 0.5 in. Gives some idea of power out. Being servo motor (ex computer drive 30 years old) well balanced no vibration. Photo near shore shows power of motor.

Hi scout13, sounds a great boat, if you ever want to get rid of the ten cents tug please let me know, my grandson is learning the art of manoeuvring using my tug Valiant (49"). it would be a great boat for him to enjoy.
Cheers Colin.

I have the same hull I made it as Ten Cents the cartoon character from the children's programme Tugs a friend gave me a hand to make the prop on his lathe was going to power it with a car radiator motor but lent it to a friend to try in his boat and never saw it again and use a car battery for power as well as ballast I now have spine problems so can't see it getting on the water any time soon

Hi Navagsi,
Don't know about the other bits, what scale is the hull?, but Raboesch do 4" Props.
See page 3 of attached pdf catalogue.
Or go here as you wish-
http://raboeschmodels.com/index.php/en/component/virtuemart/marine-accessories/brass-propellers/brass-propeller-metric-147-series-detail?Itemid=0
See part nos 147-33 and 147-34.
The Raboesch props are stocked by Cornwall Model boats amongst others. They ain't cheap, but quality rarely is😉

See my boat harbour basically it was bought from pontins model makers festival 40 years ago the hull was made by a model maker. I have photos of his boat. He then produced hulls for sale from the mold and my Dad bought one he spent 9 years making a sealion 4 cylinder petrol engine and it was meant to be petrol electric hybrid generator. The start of the deck work was started by my Dad but was left unfinished for all this time. I have photos of the origional from slide photos my Dad took when I was 4 or 5.
