Hi Colin,
Lovely finish on that deck, well done.
I too am looking forward to seeing your launch system.

If it looks right it probably is.

Looks great Colin, back to new/old again! Nice simple easy to see board layout too. Waiting to see the launching device design as well. I'm also getting near the point of needing one as the knees are slowly clapping out. Getting old sucks!

Hi Colin,
Great finish on the deck. Respect👍
And a super 'Distribution Board', wish I had space in my models for something like that.

Heartily agree on the use of quality artist brushes.
Bought a selection at the local art shop last year.
Mostly used on my smaller 'Plastic Magic ' ships though, where spraying is impractical / wasteful.

Looking forward to your launching system with great anticipation!
I'm not getting any younger either 🤔
Cheers, Doug 😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

After varnishing and rubbing back every day for the last 18 days. My launch is now ready to sail again.
The varnish was applied with an excellent quality artist brush. And wet rubbed with 2000 grit wet and dry. All the minor blemishes in the deck planks were left as she is 57 years old and well used.
I've just got to replace the missing fairlead and bow roller and get a replacement anchor.
I'm working on an idea for a launching system that's usable almost anywhere based on aluminium scaffold poles as the track and a wheeled cradle that can have its angle adjustable to suit the water. I will put some sketches together for the appraisal of the world of model boats.
Cheers Colin.
Fair winds and calm waters,
COLIN.
