Doug I had the same issue and I was only able to solve it by logging in through facebook! don't know why

Been doin' a bit of digging Kevin!
You first registered as Kevin ***** user name DrunkenMatelot.
Now with user name What a site as Johnsmith Johnsmith.
Both registrations without a verified or verifiable E-mail address.
That may well explain why the reset does not work for you as the system has then no means of knowing if it IS YOU who wants to reset the password!
We are just a bunch of guys (and gals) here who enjoy building and sailing model ships and boats and swapping ideas and experience.
We do our best to keep pests out so you might have got stuck in a pest trap!

Sorry to hear you're having problems ☹️
Personally I store all my Logins in a secured location in my browser so it appears automatically when I call up the Login page. Saves racking the grey cells every time for all the damn passwords / user names we need these days.
However, in your case send a PM (Personal Message) to Fireboat (Stephen) who looks after the site coding and he should be able to sort it for you. I.e. he can (I think😉) delete any old passwords and give you a new one which you should then be able to alter to suit yourself.
