Bristol book and model boat show.

Ken, I'm planning on going to at least one of the AMBO events at Bluewater, we'll have to try and coordinate our visits. It's a nice place to sail and if your wife is with you, you can deposit her in the shopping centre for the day.

Bristol book and model boat show.

From another source, I have found that it is called the South West Ship Show and it's on May 9th this year. I've seen a list of who is attending and there are several more model boat clubs exhibiting this year and it has been extended to cover two halls. I bought some very good/useful books there last year extending my library of Thames Barge books.

Bristol book and model boat show.

Some time early last year, I attended a show in Bristol that was run by and was a showcase for a nautical bookseller, most of whose titles related to coastal and local shipping. There were a few of the local model boat clubs in attendance and some individual second hand nautical booksellers. If I remember correctly it was held in a social club connected to the aircraft industry. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, I believe it was an annual event, so am wondering if it will happen again this year. I bought a few books there and it made a nice day out, so, can anyone help?
