What's the best brushed speed control?

I used to use Mtronics, but had several failures. They also become expensive when shipped to Canada.
Have since been using Quickrun by Hobbywing.
You do not describe the motor size, but have found their WP1060 works well with 500 size range of motors.
Only complaint is that the leads are too short, easy enough to extend though.

What's the best brushed speed control?

Help me out, fellas

Most of my models use Mtroniks speed controls for brushed motors. They make an excellent product, reliable, easy to use, and reasonably priced.

I often hear someone bought something inexpensive on ebay and it worked out very well. There are so many speed controls an ebay it is difficult to know which are good or not too good. Often descriptions are vague, incomplete or meaningless. Many are meant for R/C cars, and can be difficult to set up. I prefer center off, open and down for forward and reverse. It is a must that if signal is lost it go to a neutral off position, not highest speed reverse. I did buy one and that was a problem.

Would anybody like to suggest any specific model?
The sure way to succeed is, just try one more time
