Hi, I have used Sodial 320 amp ( about 60 amp running ) they work very well with lipos, or nimh, the esc can run two 540 brushed motors , use mine for the Graupner 700 brushed motors in my PT 109, and 34" Crash Tender, paid £ 15 for two post free on Ebay.

Esc is a Sodil 320 amp forward 160 reverse, up to 16volt nimhi, or will take 4s lipo, maybe 60 amp running, run time on the twin pack nimh only about 7 mins but using a 55mm prop, will try some different props and lipos, you can hook up two 540s brushless with this esc, I have used the two + wires and the 2 _to hook up.
Graupner 700 brushed motors in my PT 109 and 34" Crash tender using this esc and lipo batteries give a huge boost in performance😁

Used lots I'll drill motors in the past with great success old style wire wound speed controllers 1960s/ 70s on 3ft + boats, latest is a 4ft glassfiber retired racing boat £15 off Ebay, I have fitted a 18vollt drill motor and a high spec rc truck speed esc, running two nimh 3 ,000 mah giving 14.4 volts.goes well but had the use of a test tank before going to the lake.👍

Hi, New Brighton lake is a great venue, very easy access, I live in North wales and Rhyl council allow model boats on the marine lake as long as there are no water skiers using it , it is salt water though and huge, if you break down you would need a rescue boat Real or R C.

Used several boats on the common from the 1960s to the 1980s, does anybody remember the very tall chap that used to bring a giant M T B type boat on an old pram, also the 10cc cigarette racing boat that used to burn up the lake, all the boaters were fascinated by the electric M T B that used ex M O D rechargeable batteries and a VW wiper motor
I think it was the constant drone of I c engines from dawn till dusk that stopped the use of the lake, locals constant moaning to the council.
