Elco PT boat 80'

Thanks for the Postings.

Well I did find the information in a pdf document called '
02-ElcoPartsCatalog_S-Pass'. at www.ptboatforum.com

'- Digital Microfilm Files by Al Ross & Richard J. Washichek (Dick Washichek) / Al Ross Jr. / www.ptboatforum.com - DO NOT COPY, DUPLICATE, DISTRIBUTE and/or SELL'

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fw0ho4cpx2sh9ro/02-Elco_Parts_Catalog_S-Pass.pdf?dl=0

Due to the above cannot post diagram.

Basically the centre engine has two inlet scoops and two outlet scoops (same scoop but face opposite direction) the side engines only appear to have one inlet and one outlet each (but there is a complexed control panel and each scoop has a on/off valve. lot of heat exchangers/ oil and exhaust coolers).

I found a diagram of the/a electrical generator which also has its own cooling scoops.

Ok sorry about drawing,
Main engine outlets are 11+7/8in towards the bow from frame 61
Main engine inlets are 7+1/4in towards the stern from frame 55

Side engine inlets are 13in towards the stern from frame 47
Side engine outlets are 3+1/2in towards the bow from frame 52
I estimate the Side engine inlets and outlets are 20in from the side engines centre line.

please note only for PT 103 to 196,PT 314-318 and PT 362-367.

Frames diagrams at:-
http://www.pt103.com/PT_Boat_Components_Hull.html

When you scale these measurements they become fractions of an inch eg 3.5 inches at 1:20 equals 0.175 of an inch.

Thanks again Roy

"Also the location of outlet for the water cooling".
I think the water outlets are through the exhaust outlet. as on most boats
check out "The Rear Mufflers" in www.PT-boat.com
"The objective here is to make six mufflers that are operational and can be used to suck water up for use in cooling the motors"

Elco PT boat 80'

Have a problem while researching for my Elco PT boat 1:20 scale.
I cannot find any reference to the positions of their water intake(s) for the 3 engines, I did find a picture of the intake cover, but have no clue as to its location under the boat. Also the location of outlet for the water cooling.
Thought it was best to put them in while I am still working on the hull.

My motors are currently fan cooled but I would like the facility to water cool if required or ESC etc.

Have looked on usual web pages http://www.pt103.com/ and
https://www.pt-boat.com/ no luck

Hope someone has the info.
Many thanks
Roy
