I have done the same for several years now Rob. The quality is very reasonable for the price and they do last a long time if treated with a little care. If you treat them a lot harder, they are still good and not forgetting that you can buy ten for the price of one Makita or DeWalt.
Just a sad note though. I bucked the trend and bought a Bosch laser level only a few weeks ago.☹️

Yep, that's the one.
Interestingly it is comparatively cheaper in Euros than the UK price, but then again the UK has long been regarded as 'Treasure Island' by the the rest of the world.
The Americans being the worst 'cos they just substitute the $ sign for the £ sign in their price lists.
The Europeans pretty much do the same with the Euro and the pound 😠
I've now got a fair selection of 'Parkside' branded tools from Lidl, they are often branded as 'Made in Germany' and are not bad at all. Note the similarity with a lot of 'Proxon' tools 😉 as well.
Perhaps I should ask for commission 😂🤣.

Just a 'heads-up' for you all that Lidl are selling a 'Parkside Self-Levelling Cross Line Laser Level' of the type that I use for marking waterlines on hulls and also for general DIY tasks.
Comes complete with an adjustable tripod too.
All for £24.99 and on sale from Thurs 15th October.
My Bosch one cost almost double that without a tripod!
