Great, then you're good to go Valan👍
Just for luck attached are the 27 and 40MHz and frequency charts.
The channels marked with a European number should be legal in France.
Last update in France was 2012 I think.

Hi, Thank you for your answers, the equipment I have is - Ripmax Futaba M Series 2 and the crystals ? one of them has 27.045 mhz on it. I also have the Model boats magazine from March 1981 that featured the Rojair Mickey Finn, not on the greatest condition but I will try and copy it and put it on here, once again Thank you for your reply,s - Alan

Hi Valan,
To answer that properly I need to know the frequency band your TX operates on; 27 or 40MHz.
And the specific Channel crystals you have. Since ca 200x some frequency restrictions were introduced in France.
I assume that you bought your radio gear in England and took it with you when you moved to France? Correct?

I have an unrigged Mickey Finn, some time ago, pre covid, I asked for help in finding out about the sail plan etc. A member with one contacted me with a lot of information and intimated he would like to acquire mine, then through covid the conversation seemed to fizzle out, but if he is still interested and sees this, then I'd like to talk to him. I doubt if I will ever get round to fitting it out myself.

Cheers, Nerys

Hi Valan,

You did not mention what radio equipment you used to use.

So I don't know if this helps.
If not are there some model boat clubs in France that you could contact ?

If it looks right it probably is.

I still have a Mickey finn that I bought in 1980, and I now live in France and want to bring it out again. Can you tell me if the radio equipment I used in the 80s is ok to use in France or has it all changed, Thank you Alan.
