    Camera Boat No.5
    Camera Boat No.5
    Slim Nip
Exploring the possibilities of a new sleeker look to the Wee Nips that I have built previously , - Result :- the "Slim Nip" .
    Camera Boat No.4
Camera Boat No.4 still undergoing development !.
    Tiki
My Gaff Rigged Bristol Pilot Cutter started life as a static display model which I recently adapted for " Radio Control " . With extra sealing inside and out, she is seen here on her inaugural trial sailing - checking balance / trim /steering and simple sail control. Certainly no claims here on scale or workmanship ! - just a " fun and functional " model which more than satisfies my initial challenge ! .
    Camera Boat No. 3
Adapted Swamp Dawg with wider pontoon area and brushed speed 400 motor.
    Camera Nip
Wee Nip Camera boat with rotating Gopro.
    Camera Boat No.1 - Tomkat
    Camera boat no1.
    J Class Style
J Class Style Pond Yacht - Rescued from the skip and given a new lease of life to sail again as "Rudder only" radio controlled.
Camera Boat No.2 - Swamp Dawg
Quick and simple solution to save those action moments - Pair phone or tablet with GoPro camera app, or simply record with remote via wifi.
    RC Laser
RC Laser - not a home brew of course, but for many years an object of desire due to simplicity of design, assembly, aesthetics and convenience. Love the Laser, but the Wee Nip still my "go to" boat.
    Mickey Finn
Purchased original Rojair Mickey Finn from Ashton Models 35 years ago - hull suffered damaged so made a F/G mould before repairing and sailing. Made spare hull from mould and there she sat for 35+ years. Original Mickey was sold many years ago but as retirement approached the burning desire to fulfill old challenges re-emerged. So , after putting out calls for help, diagrams, photos or information on the model boat forums, thanks to "John Dowd" and a couple of other guys, I finally got round to resurrecting this fantastic 36" yacht.
    "Genie"
"Genie" was classic Marblehead design from Vic Smead , she had a hard chine hull construction. Living in New Zealand in the early 70`s I ended up building 4 of these in total - only glad I took some picies. Long gone now, but not forgotten !
    Wee Nip
My first (and following) Wee Nips

Having frequently sailed up the Chesapeake Bay to Baltimore many years ago, this little beauty holds many memories.
The skipjack is a traditional fishing boat used on the Chesapeake Bay for oyster dredging.
This model was filmed on my recent visit to Portsmouth, it was great to meet with its owner Peter, who is a member of the Hayling Island Model Boat Club.

Just a fun project to use up some old radio gear , single for steering only, or two channel if you want to include a sail winch.
Great for when the pond is full of weed - Also if no wind , stick a motor on the front or back !.
    Just have fun !

Ok on the power pod on the LY - just tried for fun (as you do ) actually it works quite well on the front also , just more to fiddle with !. Its more fun & more of a challenge to keep it on three wheels in the right direction without power!!!.
I love to see what you guys and people like jbkiwi are doing down under and in all the other "Heineken " places that the forum reaches !..
By the way I am really enjoying sailing my "Slim Nip" with the high aspect sails especially in the light winds,
