I also like the click fit system but I am disappointed in the actual tools when the prices aren't really justified

hi chaps inherited a few Dremel tools from my Dad all worked fine but started to wear out so invested in some more Dremel tools, wish l had not, not reliable at all got to hot, the shaft seemed to get loose so drilling accuracy went out the window. Sold them at a model show and bought some cheap chinese stuff with the money l got. the chinese drill has the same size collar so all my dremel bits and piece,s fit.
Most of the chinese tools work very well the more exspensive ones do look good in the workshop but there only good if you know how to use them.

I do like my Dremel tools. The new "click fit" system is fabulous for their grinding discs.
I find the drum sander arbor disappointing. As soon as you generate any heat, it goes soft and the drums fly off.
I am often tempted by the "flap wheel" type sander, made up of grit coated strings. They look as though they should be useful, but I can't see them lasting long. They're very expensive and in my mind too dear to try for what could be 2 minutes of amazement, followed by utter disappointment. Has anybody tried them?

It's probably the Bosch effect. We are not happy with them as a company. Have had so many of their appliances fail after a relatively short time, that we do no even consider them when buying tools and things now.

It a real shame that Dremel have been bought by Bosch.
