A few more including the hatch, the mid hatch from the front well deck with the double doors is also a tight fit if you make them to scale . they must have been skinny blokes I suppose the rationing helped with that.

Hear are some rear deck pictures I think you wanted and some of the boat in trials. the boats where only comisend in1952 so where never in action and never left the solent.
there area few while it was being commisond they seem to have duffel coats on on wooley jumpers and wellies, ther is a pictre of a so called 1/16 man from a uk manifacturer and a hatch opening that is the right size acording to the builders plans and a few other sourses I hope they help . so to answer you question duffel coat and wellies and wooley jumpers and coxen in oil skins over white overalls.

I hope these help.

I would go with dressed

peter

Yes!!!!

But in what? That last figure was not welcomed in battle dress!!!!!!

1:16th scale RAF crew

that would be really good! he could do with having arms that could be fixed in different positions so he can "man the monitors" or poke his head out of a hatch!

the photos I have seen seem to have the crew in sea-boots and roll neck sweaters...? but I have never been sure who actually crewed them ?

it will shock a few folk when they see the GIANT 1/16th figures on their boats!!! they just look completely oversize... due to the small size of the sea plane support fire tender 🚤

1:16th scale RAF crew

🚤 Just to let you all know, the 1;16th scale airman figure is well advanced and I have a pre-production figure.
It will comprise of the following:

Body, seperate head with berry, arms and again seperate hands. He stands around 5 1/2 inch tall making him 5ft 5in tall.

I would like some help on the following points:

1: I require the height of the centre on the steering wheel and the diameter of the wheel.

2: Can someone tell me the correct footwear they wore. I have been told they wore deck shoes!

Yeah yeah , whatever sized figures that can hold onto a fireboat when being torpedoed along the Corrimal creek Majestic Modellers group when under the mis-control of a speed demon who teaches an owner just how fast his Crash Boat can travel. I would be interested to know where? & have a lookee see about the tug figurines now (please) if not a secret ( unless they also are having a lunch break eating Kebabs as a rerward from their hard work as a racing machine service/repair/fire crew in disguised tug gear coveralls? ). The Cervia is 56 inches long at 1/24 scale from a hull of 112 feet. Lyle

HI Lyle I know you chaps from down under do some strange things but a fire boat crewed by Midgets.? that a bit much.. 😀 😀 I think you want 12th for the 46" boat and how big is the tug I may be able to point you in the right direction of some one who does nice tug men if HSL mouldings cannot help .

1:16th scale RAF crew

Hello from the colony. I would be after some or 1/24 scale crew members for my 46 inch Crash Boat and also for my steam Tug 'Cervia' as such a scale size of half inch to the foot for figurines, is very rare. I do not mind if they are more handsome than me. Please advise me directly when matters commence , orders are sought. Ta Lyle

Thanks for your comments, I understand what you mean. we were looking at a crew menber at the wheel and a second in the sterm well with a possable third crew member sitting or kneeling down.

I would be grateful if anyone could send me a photo or two of the stern well and hatch where a crew member would stand.

The figures will also be suitable for a new project that will also being worked on, BPBco 41ft.5in Seaplane Tender Mk1 in 1:16th/1:18th scale.

Hi. Yes 1:12 scale please. Try something like crew emerging from hatch on rear engine cover or working in the rear well deck area. They do not look so good working on the fire monitors. Figures look rather large for the boat when standing next to monitors.( Shows how small the Crash Tender was ) . Mr pthesailor.

HI this Is Chris @hslmoulding.co.uk, we are looking at producing 2/3 crew members for the 1:16th scale Vosper Fireboat In the next few months. It Is hoped they will follow the same format as our RNLI figures.

If this Is a viable project we will also produce a 1:12th scale crew. Your feedback would be most welcome.
