I was going to post and say that I don't think it would be easy to convert a Fairey kit as I thought that there are too many areas that would need alteration and Will's post has confirmed this.
As well as the changes to the stern the bow needs changing as well. In side view the Huntsman 31 would appear to have a similar raked bow but it has a significant flare which the Corsair doesn't and the Huntsman's is very round in plan view . Other Faireys have blunter bows i.e. the Huntress and Huntsman 28 and so aren't suitable. Then there is the superstructure of course though that is the easiest to alter, though the deck camber in greater than the Faireys.
In my view to build a credible model it really needs to be scratch built and Will's drawings would greatly assist with that.

Nigel, the Fairey Hull is a great start for your planned mods, they handle exceptionally well at speed and are admired all over the world.
Happy modelling, cheers Colin.

Thanks for the advice. I’m thinking that a Fairey kit is a great start too.

Hi Nigel,
I think that might be one option as i have spent some time looking around but still unable to fined any Plans/Drawings for the Levi.
The other option is to see if you can get hold of a set of plans for the Fairey huntsman and modify from scratch.

I was wondering if I could start with a Fairey kit and taper off the rear. The Levi Corsair slopes down at the back to a taper, just like my hair did when I was a rocker and Bo-Diddly was king

martin555 yes that is the boat. I spoke with the owner and the original builder Mr. Levi built this one for his son in 1979 and my contact bought it from him. So it has a direct line to the builder. If you want a new one, they make them to order for about €150,000

Hi Nigel,
Is this the boat you are talking about ?

There are some sort of drawings at the bottom of the page.

I am lucky enough to live in a marina and today an elegant cruiser arrived. It’s a Levi Corsair 28. I would love to build a model of it. Roughly the size and lines of a Fairey Huntsman but built in Italy. Does anyone know of plans or a kit that I could use as a base? It’s very pretty!
