The hull (along with 2 more, but never built) was purchased in 1975 during our visit to the U.K. Went directly to the builders small factory and arranged with Mr. Frank Parsons to ship the hulls (hulls, transoms, one deck) to our home in the U.S.
Made the masts and sails, fin, rudder and the innards for it.

I just remembered the Nylet name of the sailboat is "Moonraker" - I just named it Piccadilly.

B.T.W. - That was in 1975. Been out of the water and in my attic for many years. Haven't ran a sailboat since 2011 when a few "members" only brought cheapo RTR sailboats and tried to convince everyone else to do the same. This ruined the "Bay Area Electric Boaters" a 20+ year old club with a strong membership. Couldn't put a scale boat in the water without hearing "sailboats have the right of way."

    Hi Lew,

I bought quite a number of US modelling magazines when I was serving with US Air Force in Germany in the late 1980s.

From these I remember the Piccadilly yacht well. However in over 30 years around model boat clubs in the UK, I have not seen such a model over here. It seems that Nylet Sails may be able to advise if it ever made in the U of K.John

    Hope this helps.

I guess that must have been Frank Parsons of Nylet?
