    Hi Herman,

I too have many old IC motors I definitely cannot use -- and I would think that Belgium has at least the same environmental regulations as we in Britain.

Your wonderful old PT 179 could relatively easily be converted to clean and powerful brushless power. This would then give you the great experience of seeing it charge around the lake once more!!

    Uiiiii Herman!
So you have a general? I have a sergeant, but he's probably just as stubborn as your general!
After 45 years of marriage, I love my sergeant and her kind, and she sometimes has cool ideas when it comes to model building.

And to everyone else: I'm not under the hammer, I accept 🀣🀣🀣
    Itβ€˜s cool man!
    Cheers. Michel-Cl.

Perhaps I should clarify. Radio control is now inexpensive, so there is no need for fast (or slow) boats to have no control of direction. When I was young I got to know the local reed beds very well, but all that is now forgotten.πŸ˜‰

I so enjoy seeing older boats that have not only survived but been restored and updated. A couple of my early boats had diesel engines installed, but as a teenager I could not afford radio control so the boats screamed off into the nearest reed bed. We can get similar performance today with electric motors that are far cleaner, and much easier to manage.
Enjoy your PT179 while you may.πŸ˜‰

i do have a shed in the garden it is more a gardenhouse of 32 m2. But that is for the toys of the grandchildren. It is forbidden by my general to put in anything what looks like modelboats; So the only shipwharf i could make was in my cellar and that is big enough.
When i see your wharf i must say congratulations everything is very clean and put in boxes.
