A magnificent effort Rover👍
I don't want to even think about the programming effort that went into that.🤕
Which CAD and slicer programs did you use?
It was immediately apparent that the boat was 3D printed😉
Can you give us some dimensions and info on the printer used; filament, nozzle, temp etc please.
Are you going to smooth the parts with acetone or Dichloromethane before painting?
NOTE to wise: use the latter only outside/in well ventilated area with an FFP2 or preferably 3 mask!!!
Cheers, Doug😎
Abt two yr ago several mfgrs were offering RTR versions of this style. Including ProBoat if memory serves. They were all $$$ so I held off at the time. Now that I can afford $400 I can't find any on the primary market. Perhaps they were all snapped up by persons that we shud "thank for their service".
What title of a Wikipedia article wud describe these gunboats? I'm extremely ignorant of the US military so hav no idea how to start a search in the wiki.
Speaking of 3D-printed hulls, a gent in my club gifted me a Clyde puffer that he had 3D-printed in sections. I'm thankful for it as my 1st love is workboats.
I do not enjoy plank-on-frame hull construction e.g. the DUMAS PT-109
