    Another Clyde Puffer

My first effort in something at this scale, 1:24, but for all my mistakes I love her, and am very pleased with her.

She's a static kit, and although she's designed to be motorised, I never had any intention of taking her down to the Gardens lake (as in Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, Derbyshire, UK) although I'm aware there is a flourishing boat club that meets there.

For the few that don't recognise her, she's built from the Mountfleet Clyde Puffer kit. A superb kit even if the instructions leave a lot to be desired. On that note, having so much enjoyed the puffer build, I'm currently building the Danny Boy Drifter from the same stable, but the instructions here are all but non existent. I'm coping, though this model isn't as good or interesting as the Puffer.

That is a very skillful antiquing job! Congratulations and I would love to see you
motorize and RC her. She would look marvelous chugging in the pond.

Many thanks indeed for the many and lovely compliments I've received. Its very heartening that the work is appreciated, though the Clyde Puffer is such a lovely kit its hard to go wrong.

Photos of the Danny Boy, my current build coming as soon as I sort them out.

    Hi Bryanc.

The details are taken care of to the maximum and it is truly a model worthy of admiration.
The color is given with skill and makes many details seem real.

You built a very beautiful ship there. And you want to build the Danny Boy. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope you do a construction report. In the not too distant future I will be building the Britannia from Mountfleet Models, which is a big challenge for me as I first have to translate the building instructions into German. I believe the Danny Boy and the Britannia have the same hull.
