Dearest Hermank, I don't have Facebook. If I did, I would go and see your model there too.

Very good, in fact it's simply a matter of taste. However, if the figures are to be placed, they must be placed well and in the right number.

    Allessandro amigo italiano,
I m also on facebook on the RNLI the model lifeboat people and a lot of them put figurines on their lifeboats which are looking just fabulous. I agree that it is very realistic but as you mentionned i m not a fan of it. I m sorry but i understand people love to put them on their models

Hermank and Ronald you have raised an interesting question in dynamic RC ship modelling.

Should scale figures be used for greater realism?

Those who are for it argue that a moving ship without a crew looks like a ghost ship.
I think it's a matter of taste and it's quite subjective.
For example, it can be considered that the static nature and poor accuracy of the sketches does not favor pure realism.
    I also consider the number.
Let me explain better, on the gunboats (which inspired me for my model) the crew seems to me to be up to 114 men (is it possible or am I wrong?).
So if I put six, a dozen or so won't be realistic anyway.

In any case Hermank your model is very beautiful even like this, without crew.

I know you posted this video six months ago and at that time there was no pilot/crew sitting in the helicopter and the blades were turning. Are there crews in the cockpit now and ground crew onboard the vessel?

    Très bon Hermann, great build👍
A small word to the wise if I may!
I have never been on any flight deck/helipad where the landing lights protrude so far out of the deck. (And I've been on several, including a hair raising flight through a tropical thunderstorm from Port Harcourt Nigeria out to an oil platform in the South Atlantic. Looking through a small gap in the clouds I saw a 'postage stamp' size platform way below and asked the pilot "You want to land on THAT?") I digress!😁
That protrusion would be dangerous for the flight deck crew and embarking/disembarking passengers and flight crew. High risk of tripping over them. The heli could also damage them.
All such lights I have seen on flight decks (from ground stations, platforms and corvettes to aircraft/heli carriers) are recessed into the deck with a thick glass dome flush to the deck to protect them.

Looking forward to the bottom wetting😉
    Salutations, Doug😎

Very impressive Hermank, well done, all that is missing is the navigation.
