I picked up a Lindberg PT model but it was missing too many parts to make complete. As I already have a complete PT Boat, I decided to "Kit Bash" this one into a runabout.

Just added a few more pictures. I like the picture of the old runabout from your youth, Smart looking little boat for sure.

    Interesting conversion.

Reminds me of a smaller runabout we had in the family when I was young. My dad bought and converted an ex-navy boat which if I remember didn't have any seats in it, or maybe it just had the front seats, as I do remember my dad opening up the rear seat area. I did do some research on the boats some years back and posted on another forum but can't find the post anymore.

Photo shows my brother who is a couple of years younger than me moored on the River Avon near Pershore. One of a few boats that we had over the years and why I'm interested in model boats now.

    Very nice!
I use to know a gent in Downeast Maine who owned a runabout similar to yours. He told me that it was built by ELCO. It certainly had the lines and it went like a bat out of ... you know.

Thank you Ronald. Yea I have a reputation for not leaving things "stock".

Very imaginative using your skills to create a beautiful piece of work. With it having a hull design of a PT boat, your model should plane easily.
